Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of My Town 360, a neighborhood feed app for St. Charles, St. Peters, Frenchtown and nearby communities. By using the app you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains what data the service handles; the deletion page explains how to delete an account.
1. The service
My Town 360 provides a local feed — recommendations, lost & found, for sale & free, safety reports with a reported → confirmed → resolved lifecycle, events, and everyday neighbor talk — plus Business Pages and a local Market catalog. Reading is open to everyone; posting, commenting, thanking, messaging, and reporting require an account at the tier described below.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- Give accurate information when you sign up and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Accounts run on verification tiers: Reader (browse, no account needed), Resident (phone + address match — can post, comment and thank), Verified Neighbor (postcard code, document, or a vouch from two Verified Neighbors — badge, full posting, incident reporting), and Trusted (tenure + thanks history). Verification never exiles renters, and reading is never gated behind verification.
- One person, one personal account. Businesses act through Business Pages, never through a personal account (see §5).
- Sign-in is provided through Supabase Auth. The available sign-in method (magic link + Google) takes effect when the owner confirms it; until then the sign-in panel is honestly disabled and everyone browses as a Reader.
3. Acceptable use
Be a good neighbor. In particular, you agree not to:
- Post unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, or deceptive content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Post spam, scams, or misleading listings, prices, or claims.
- Impersonate another person, neighbor, or business.
- Use the "suspicious person" framing for safety content — safety posts must describe a factual incident (what happened, where), not a person. There is deliberately no such category in the app.
- Attempt to access another account, defeat Row-Level Security or verification controls, scrape the service at abusive volume, or disrupt the service for others.
- Use the service to collect other neighbors' personal information.
4. Community content & moderation
- Your content is yours. You keep ownership of posts, comments, messages, and listings you create, and you grant Willow Rain Company LLC a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content within the service so neighbors can see it.
- You are responsible for what you post. Only post photos and text you have the right to share.
- Moderation. We may review, limit, or remove content that violates these terms, and may warn, restrict, or suspend accounts that do — with the response proportionate to the problem. Safety reports move through a reported → confirmed → resolved lifecycle; unconfirmed reports are labeled as such and are never presented as established fact.
- Recommendations must be real. Recommendations and Thanks should reflect genuine experience with real work. Fake recommendations, paid praise presented as a neighbor's own experience, and review manipulation are prohibited.
- If you believe content about you or your business is wrong or violates these terms, contact us at willow.rain.llc@gmail.com and we will review it.
5. Business Pages
- Businesses post, advertise services, and respond to customers only from their Business Page — never from a personal account, and never disguised as an ordinary neighbor post.
- Page information, priced services, and gallery photos must be accurate and your own (or used with permission). Prices shown are the page owner's prices; quotes are confirmed in the message thread.
- A page may be claimed by its owner. Until a page is claimed, page edits are handled by the operator. We may remove or correct pages that are impersonating a business or are materially misleading.
- My Town 360 carries no star ratings. Businesses are represented by recommendations tied to real jobs and by counted Thanks.
6. Market & messages
- The Market is a catalog and listing space. At launch, checkout is not active in the app; print-on-demand items are fulfilled by the print-on-demand provider when that checkout opens, under that provider's terms.
- Neighbor-to-neighbor sales are arrangements between the buyer and the seller. Meet in a safe public place, and inspect items before paying. Willow Rain Company LLC is not a party to those sales.
- Messages are for arranging the things the service is about — questions, quotes, pickups, and booked jobs. Do not use messages for spam or harassment.
7. Honest launch-phase limits
Town 360 is a community space. Posts and comments are the views of the neighbors who write them, not of Willow Rain Company LLC. We moderate reported content and may remove posts or accounts that break the acceptable-use rules. Businesses may create business pages; a business page is run by that business, which is responsible for its listings, prices, and promises. Sample content shown at launch is labeled as sample content and is not real neighbors' posts; safety/incident information shown in the app is never a substitute for official sources — call 911 in an emergency.
My Town 360 is in its launch phase, and we say plainly what that means: parts of the feed, Safety list, and catalog are sample content shown to demonstrate the app; checkout is not yet active; and sign-in opens only when the owner confirms the final method. Features may change as the service grows, and these terms will be updated when they do.
8. Your deletion right
You may delete your account at any time. Deletion soft-deletes the account and revokes your sessions immediately, gives you a 7-day grace period to cancel by signing back in, and then hard-purges your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Full steps — in-app and by email — are on the deletion page. Deleting the app or clearing your browser does not delete a server-side account; use the deletion flow.
9. Suspension & termination by us
We may suspend or terminate an account that materially or repeatedly violates these terms, or where required for safety or legal reasons. Where it is practical and safe to do so, we will say why. Termination by us does not remove your deletion rights for your own data.
10. Disclaimers & liability
- The service is provided "as is." Neighbor posts, listings, and safety reports are provided by users and sources as-is; we work to keep them honest and labeled, but we do not guarantee that user content is accurate, complete, or current.
- Safety information is community information, not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911.
- To the maximum extent the law allows, Willow Rain Company LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and its total liability arising from the service is capped at the amount you paid for the service in the prior 12 months (for a free app, $0 beyond what the law requires). Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law forbids limiting it.
11. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
